Saadet Yılmaz’s Complaint

Owner of Shiva

Hello, we are experiencing this same issue. There isn’t a vet we haven’t visited, a treatment method we haven’t tried, or a vitamin supplement or medication we haven’t used. In the end, we became convinced that it is a hereditary condition. We always blamed ourselves; we thought it was due to the wrong food or improper care. However, we realized that none of the treatment processes we applied helped my English Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Staftürk) recover. Now, I believe there is something wrong with this breed, that it is unhealthy. I think something needs to be done about it. This breed shouldn’t be bred because I don’t want any living being to go through the hardships my unhealthy dog has endured. For months, we went through injections, medications, supplements, and treatments. We visited every vet we could. These dogs shouldn’t multiply. Families, like us, eventually start seeing these dogs as a part of the family, which leads them to overlook the financial side of things. However, this aspect should not be ignored. The fact that my dog’s health hasn’t improved, the money we spent, the pain he suffered, the games he couldn’t play… It’s truly a heartbreaking process.
